Cisco, UT – The Creepy Ghost Town Everyone Talks About

I was driving through eastern Utah on the way to Carbondale, CO when I saw the sign for Cisco pop up. I was in the mood to stop and walk. This was the perfect opportunity.

I read about Cisco in my recent past; probably while doing route research for the road trip. Everyone who had anything to say about Cisco mentioned how creepy it was. They knew what they were talking about. Stuffed animals, abused by weather, strewn across the front seat of a beaten Trans Am T-Top. Ancient, nearly see through curtains billowing out of  Winnebago windows, beckoning you to a fate worse than death – or at least your next tetanus shot. Broken glass everywhere. Buildings caving in on themselves, slowly imploding. It was a photographers dream! Plus, I had health insurance. I was ready to visit Cisco.
